Chapel of The Carmel, Montreal, Illumination Award IES 2014

Illumination Award from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America IESNA, Montreal, Canada
For the Chapel of the Carmel, Montreal

Located in a medieval architectural ensemble, this neo-Gothic chapel is dedicated to Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel. The lighting scenographies evolve depending on the activities, for meditation, reading and for celebrations. The uniform and discreet lighting accentuates with sobriety the verticality of the architecture, allows to see the altar and unveil the Sainte-Thérèse-de-l’enfant-Jesus sculpture located on the middle.
