Olympic Committee Building in Montreal

Thursday July 16th, 2015

Ombrages illuminates the sky of Montreal with the light enhancement of the Olympic Rings on the roof of the Canadian Olympic Committee house.

Montreal was the first city to be authorized by the International Olympic Committee to permanently display the Olympic Rings on a building other than the Swiss head office. Ombrages was awarded the contract to illuminate the rings in addition to designing the dramatic illumination of the Canadian Olympic House. The building in downtown Montreal at 500 René-Lévesque Boulevard West provides visitors with an opportunity to dive into the world of Olympic athletes through state-of-the-art technologies. The work Ombrages did is Olympian in its own right, with the high efficiency LED lighting and two DMX universes providing infinite possibilities for the play and movement of multicoloured light.
