The Velocity of Space

A Monumental Work of Art

“The Velocity of Space/La velocité des lieux” is a social work of art created by the Quebec collective BGL. This monumental structure, inspired by fairground art, resembles a Ferris wheel and it it evokes the idea of movement, celebration and pleasure. Made of galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum and plexiglass, the sculpture is lit using electroluminescent diodes that reveal its form.
