Olympic Park Tower | Montreal

Back to projects

Since the summer of 2013, Montreal’s international symbol, the Olympic Park Tower, has been illuminated at nightfall to proudly showcase the entire structure. The Tower’s LED lighting system offers a vast array of colours and sequences along with the capacity to precisely direct beams of light. Éclairage Public is the main designer in this project to illuminate Montreal’s iconic structure. As part of it, Ombrages met the challenge of developing a control system that would allow the client to create scenes with the light. DMX technology was therefore recommended for such demanding applications. With the DMX control system, a range of scenarios can be created with a large number of RGB light sources and fast colour changes are readily programmed.
